PAS015: 2011 KITE MARK
This standard was developed by the British Standards Institute (BSI), in close observation of the European standard and taking into consideration the maximum protection of each helmet. The objective advantages of this British standard concern the verification of different areas of protection from those verified by other standards and the use of new types of resistance tests. Among these tests, there is a more rigid penetration test, a compression test, a test to certify the resistance capacity against impact with sharp surfaces, as well as a stability test that checks the degree of helmet movement in the case of a fall. The rigidity of the PAS05 standard has led to it being used as a reference in the drafting of new European VG1 01.040-12 standard.
