British KITEMARK certification

This certification was developed by the British Standards Institute (BSI) in strict compliance with European standards and taking into consideration the maximum protection that each helmet can provide. In order to guarantee continued conformity with the regulations in force (i.e. those provided for by the VG1 01.040 2014-12 and PAS015:2011 standards), Kitemark is awarded exclusively by the BSI and includes only those products that are part of the Kitemark certified lots, i.e. those that have been tested and inspected within British laboratories.

The objective advantages of this certification, in its more rigid version, that is to say the version that refers to the PAS015:2011 standard, concern the verification of protection areas different from those covered by the other standards and the use of new resistance tests. These tests include a more rigid penetration test, a compression test and resistance to impact with a sharp surface. It is precisely the rigidity of the PAS015 type-approval that has led to it being adopted as a reference in the drafting of the new European VG1 01.040 2014-12 regulations.
