DURATION, INSPECTION AND REPAIR

The lifespan of a helmet depends on several degenerative factors such as temperature fluctuations, the amount of exposure to direct sunlight, and usage.
It is important to check your helmet frequently to ensure that there is no damage such as:

  • Cracks;
  • Detachments;
  • Deformations;
  • Peeling;
  • Color changes.

These elements should be considered indicators of helmet deterioration.
In any case, it is advisable to replace the helmet after 5 years, as even the natural aging of the materials can compromise its safety.
Inside the shell, beneath the padding, there is a label (which must not be removed under any circumstances) containing all the specific information, including the production date.
Only the Italian headquarters of KEP Italia is authorized to disassemble, assemble, repair, or replace helmet components in order to ensure compliance with certifications and, therefore, product safety.

To request inspection, repair, or replacement of helmet parts, it is recommended to contact the seller from whom you purchased the helmet, who will initiate all necessary procedures.
